Multicultural Family Support Centers are run and monitored by
metropolitan and provincial governments. The governments support the designation and funding of
Multicultural Family Support Centers. Basic units of the regional consultative body are operated
by provincial governments. Basic programs include bilingual environment fostering, familial
relation improvement, and marriage etiquette training. Other projects include in-home education,
linquistic development support, interpretation/translation, and mentoring for marriage
immigrants. The Multicultural Family Support Center is connected to healthcare centers, Korea
Immigration Service, employment centers, daycare centers and schools, and the Office of
Education.
