Ⅱ Chargeable One-on-one Education Service Project (Children Formation Service)
A. Outline
1) Period: Year-round, 2020
2) For : Multicultural Children and newly immigrated children aged from 3 to 12 years
3) Running of Sessions
○ A class of 2 hours (with 20 mins. break), twice a week
○ Fee charged for the amount equivalent to 8 sessions over 4-week period
4) Contents
○ Cognitive Field: guidance on reading, homework, presentation and debate
○ SelfEmotionSocial Field : guidance on self, emotion and social development
○ Cultural cognition reinforcement field : guidance on cultural cognition, self-definition and community cognition
○ Civil Education Field: guidance on healthy life routine, health, safety, family life and career-study plan
B. Application
1) Application Method
Registration for chargeable one-on-one education program: at Gangseo Multicultural Familty Support Center
Registration for government aid: at Residence Center responsible for the child to be enrolled (necessary for verification of income status)
2) Service Registration and Utilization
Sign up at the Center → Registration for governement aid → Verification of income status → Notification of decision → Decision and details rendered available to the Center → Queue for Registration → Assignment of instructor → Payment of fees → Service offered
C, Government Aid and Individual Charge
1) Unit charge per hour : KRW 13,420 (KRW 26,840 per session)
※Fee charged for the amount equivalent to 8 sessions over 4-week period in advance
2) Government aid : KRW 11,420 - 13,420, determined upon income status
3) Individual Charge : Upto KRW 2,000, determined upon income status
○ Income status : Classified upon household national insurance payment
○ Eligibility for free-of-charge service : Those who are eligible for free service should also apply for government aid
- Multicultural families residing in islands and/or remote areas
- Recipients of National Basic Living Income Program or Sub-prime government aid program
